Sandeep Kumar (Gupta), MD, has carried the idea of L3 with him for years, inspired in part by the writings of Maslow and Osho.

In high school, he dropped “Gupta” from his name, hoping to step away from caste-based identification in India. He likes to think of himself as simply a citizen of the world.

He lives in Chappaqua, New York, with his wife and two daughters.
